I LOVE all of your books but especially King Arthurs and Her Knights. The whole series was awesome, and I really wanted to buy them in paperback! Will this be available in the near future?

Yes, the King Arthurs books will be available in paperback–sorry to say though I don’t have an exact date. I can say they’ll be available before Christmas!

I loved the interview too! I love how you take the time to wrap up loose ends. I also thought about how MBRC was tied into the place of the King Arthur series. I was wondering if Morgan’s Daughter (the first Female Pooka ever) could have enough iron in her to tame Lancelot “the tom cat” as Britt said?

The thought of the female pooka and Lancelot together actually terrifies me a bit. You’re right, he would absolutely be no match for her…but I also think Devin would maybe manage to off Lancelot before it got too serious. One thing’s for sure, Morgan and Britt would get along swimmingly. They would probably compare leadership tactics over a slice of cake.

*gasps* OHHH!!! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING TO WATCH!!! MORGAN’S DAUGHTER FLIRT WITH LANCELOT!!
On a semi-similar note, I can understand why you might not want to do an MBRC-King Arthurs crossover (I’ve been playing through scenarios in my mind, and they all feel kind of forced, though that could be my lack of skill at fanfiction), but could we all just take a moment to imagine Moonspell Sr.’s face if he was ever confronted by Britt in ElvenKing mode? With, I don’t know, maybe Merlin in the background, holding balls of fire in his hands, ready to throw at anybody who approaches Britt?

I’m pretty sure there’s a good chance Administrator Moonspell Sr. would resurrect the old legends that King Arthurs has faerie blood in her if he saw her in ElvenKing mode…and then he would probably try to figure out how to use her for the MBRC brand until she told him to buzz off.
I do see a very good possibility for a momentary crossover if I ever get the time to write the next MBRC book. The story will be told from a new heroine’s point of view–Aysel’s future gal pal, but there’s still a good case for a crossover. (You’d have to go digging through the Lost Files of the MBRC, but it’s briefly alluded to that Aysel does not eat lunch at the MBRC. Wonder what he’s doing then….)

Ooooo! That’s were Aysel asks Morgan if he can bring a date to Morgan’s wedding reception (who’s human). I can’t wait to read her and Aysel’s story next. 🙂

I have really enjoyed all of your books, in fact I’ve re-read all of them at least twice! The King Arthurs series was definitely my favorite and I have enjoyed it so much. I only have one nagging question that (as far as I know) you have never answered. What was Merlin’s secret that he was so embarrassed about? The one that Blaise teased him about during Britt’s visit. I just don’t think the series will be complete in my detail obsessed mind until I know! Again, thank you so much for all the hours I have spent enjoying your books. You are one of my all time favorite authors.

Sorry I’m a little late to respond to this, but I have to blame my foggy brain on this one! I actually can’t remember what I had planned. Ahahah. I was going through my notebooks this past week and I found evidence that I actually DID have a cute little backstory, but I didn’t have enough of the details scrawled down. (I have to write these sorts of things down, or they go in one ear and out the other.) When I locate my notebook for Endeavor, then everything shall be revealed. *Stares at giant pile of notebooks.* Yeeeeaahh. Sorry I can’t satisfy your curiosity, but hopefully I will someday soon!

Oh, that interview was SO good. Hahaha! That necklace was a really fun moment. It’s also awesome that they kept Merlin locked up so he couldn’t meet Britt while she was growing up. So sad to say good-bye to them all, but this is a very satisfying send-off. 🙂

The way I wrote it in the interview is actually very much the way it went down for the book. Merlin as a character was on the pathway to becoming fairly vocal about what he was thinking, and I was absolutely desperate NOT to go down that path, so I forcibly cut the interaction off. (It sounds a little odd to say, but when I’m in the middle of writing my characters feel very real to me, and I feel more like a shepherd trying to finagle bossy, vindictive sheep than an author.)

Either way, I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😀

I would say it’s a fairly safe bet to expect that I will still write the occasional King Arthurs short in the far off future. 😉 (And you’re right. Little Britt listening to Kay slander Lancelot would be the cutest thing ever.)

Thank you so much for writing! Your stories are so inspiring! I love your books, especially King Arthur. (How many times have you heard that in the last three or so years?) 😉 Though I was sad to realize the that this was the end for Britt and co., they certainly went out with a bang! I loved the ending of Endings. (Hmm…) Definitely genius. Anyway, I can’t wait to read your next book(s). Speaking of which, what is your next book? 🙂

😉 When I was writing and editing endings, every day was like a tongue twister/who is on first sketch. (“So where was the typo?” “The beginning of the end.” “The beginning of Endings or the beginning of the end of Endings?” “Let’s just skip to the ending.” “The WHOLE THING is Endings!”)

But in all seriousness, I’m so glad you enjoyed the ride. The King Arthurs cast was a lot of fun and I’m so happy you found them entertaining. (And worry not, once I actually get started on writing my book I’ll release some info, but for the sake of honesty I will admit it might not be everyone’s cup of tea as the romance will be more along the lines of King Arthur and not nearly as prominent as it is in my fairy tales.)

Ms. Shea, thank you for taking us Champions through this amazing experince with Britt and her knights. Each time I reread your material, I always feel so uplifted, excited, and giddy. Such a sweet romance with Merlin and Britt! Just love it. When I was reading the interview, I was so excited when you said that Britt is in the same world as MBRC! I was so giddy I jumped up and ran around my house a few times, giggling and smiling for all the world to see. My younger brother looked at me as if I was crazy, saying, “What in the world are you doing?” Laugther (hysterical perhaps) just came out of my mouth as I sat back down to read again. Please make a freebie of MBRC with Britt and Merlin as a cameo! I would love it. No pressure though, it’s understandable why you want write other things. I know they’ll be great. Sorry for the overzealous fangirling here. There are just so few authors that I can actually re read their material and still enjoy it. Mainstream fantasy books are so cliche with love triangles and insta love that it disguists me, with one- dimesional characters, but your work is priceless. Your comedic elements are just fantastic as well. So I hope this rant (sorry) is encouraging you in your writer’s journey. I know you will make great stories in the future. Your work is truly inspirational. In fact, you have inspired me to finish a plot line of a story I began several years. ( I use to write stories but I never finish them because of stupid high school homework or losing interest.) By finish, I mean writing or making a comic out of it. The possiblities are endless. Okay, okay, I am really stopping now.

P.S. Look out in the future for some fan art. You are truly inspirational and a great writer, one of my top three favorite authors!

I would like to second everything you just said, Bianca!!
One of the things I love most about your books, Ms. Shea, is the amount of truth in them. Of right-thinking. I’m not really sure I have a word for it, but when you talk about romance and forgiveness and courage and loving others being worth it, even though you can get hurt…it’s very centering for me. I know all these things, but sometimes in this crazy world, it’s hard to remember them. Your books help me remember, and keep me centered, and fighting for what matters.

I read a lot of King Arthur stories when I was little and they always address courage, forgiveness, chivalry and the like, so it was really important to me that I attempt to tackle those sorts of things as well. Farewell King Arthurs

This is it, Champions. This is the last official King Arthurs and Her Knights post. It’s been so much fun, and I am so honored and touched by how much love Britt, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table have received.

As I mentioned over a week ago, I’m going to close out the fun with a interview with Britt and Merlin! You guys blew me away with the number and depth of your questions, so I actually typed up the interview in a separate document. (Click Here for the PDF File) I hope the interview brings you both laughter, and closure!


When I started writing Endings I was really looking forward to giving Britt a strong finale and closing out her story. I thought the worst of the pain was over when I finished the last edit and put the book up for sale, but everything from reading reviews to writing out responses to the interview has been a bittersweet reminder that this is the last time I’ll be doing this for Britt Arthurs.

I want to give a big thank you to all you faithful Champions. The King Arthurs series was a bit of an experiment for me, and I grew a lot as a storyteller through writing these books. Thank you for supporting me as I wrote these tales, and for supporting Britt as she fought to establish an honorable court.

As I’ve said again and again, I write because I want to entertain and make people laugh. But with the King Arthurs books I also wanted to inspire. Britt Arthurs was a normal girl. Admittedly, her hobbies were a bit eccentric, but otherwise she was your standard American…and she went on to do great things. You might say her adventures in Camelot transformed her–and they did–but really it was her heart and thirst for honor and justice that made the Sword in the Stone recognize her as a potential king.

Because of the King Arthurs series, I have heard from many of you, and I can confidently say that so many of you are like Britt. Many of you have a passion for what is right, a gentleness in your forgiving nature, or great ferocity in your courage. It might sound kinda weird coming from a random author-chick’s rambling blog post, but I hope you see the beauty in your own heart and the great impact you have on those around you.
