Short Story: Surviving Magiford

King’s Captive is out now, and in record time we reached the goal of 100 reviews! (I feel like I say that every time. Which, you would think would imply I’m exaggerating, except even though I prepared the short story in advance, EVERY TIME it’s a mad scramble to get it up on the website because you Champions do reach the goal earlier and earlier with every book!)

Still haven’t picked King’s Captive up yet? You can get it here!

A huge thank you to everyone who left a review/rating on King’s Captive! I know I’ve gone over how important they are for new books in the past, but this time the reviews had a very personal impact on me, as I was anxious about Chloe’s series since it’s unusual, and 2022 made writing…difficult.

Sincerely, thank you for taking the time to leave honest–an amazing–reviews. They were the encouragement I needed as I tackle writing Chloe’s final book, and I am so relieved you Champions enjoy Chloe’s and Noctus’s interactions. Now, let’s get on to the celebration!

For those of you who haven’t started Chloe’s series this short story technically doesn’t have spoilers, but I’d still suggest waiting to read it until you finish King’s Captive.

Here’s the short story: Surviving Magiford

This short story will be a little bit of a walk down memory lane as it follows Chloe on her previous excursions in Magiford short stories/books. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks again for all of the support you’ve already shown Chloe, Noctus, and their friends.

As a bit of a heads up, I won’t be doing any Gates of Myth and Power themed posts for the rest of the month. That fun will begin in January, with Pip’s trilogy going on sale!

I still have one last Christmas gift for you–Goose Girl will be free on Christmas day, as will the entire Entwined Tales series, which is a first! But I’ll have posts going out to remind you when it is actually available for free.

Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Champions! Thanks again, I am so, so, so delighted you enjoyed Chloe’s first adventure!
