Ok, here’s a story that will either cheer you up or make you go “I’m sick. You told me this why!??” . 😉

So I saw your blog post yesterday. I went to sleep and had a really weird dream. (This is why I leave the story telling to you, Kitty!) Anyway, in my dream I was reading your post for seemed like the first time. So long story short, I gnashed my teeth, tore my clothes, and wailed about how one of my favorite authors was ill and now she and her amazing books were going to die. (All of this was still in my dream.) Then I got my computer and typed out farewell….to your books. And then…….
I woke up. I actually had to check if I had written that farewell message! 😉 Then I thought would entertain you while you were sick. 🙂

Ahahahah, that is hilarious! (I actually laughed so hard I choked on my own spit and had to stagger away for a bit.) 🙂 Thanks for the laugh–it was a perfect pick-me-up!

I am also not a normal person and I get sick every season EXCEPT Autumn… Just started my summer cold too. Grape juice helps me a lot when I have a cough (I do) and see if you can find this magical tea called Cold Care or Gypsy Cold Care made by Traditional Medicinals. As magic as something Merlin might have made 😀

Ooohhh, tea! I’m guzzling that by the mugful these days. I’ll have to see if I can drag myself from the house to get some of that! (I’m sorry to hear you are also unwell, though!)

Leek soup. No joke, it will help. Just make a big pot of veggie soup and throw some leeks in it. Or chicken soup with leeks. Just remember, cook them til they stop floating. I had to do that in college when all of my roommates got colds and I had a big recital coming up.

Feel better and here is a panda to add to your collection…

Ahahah, that red panda was adorable! 😀 Thanks for sharing!

And leek soup sounds amazing! I’ll have to see if I can figure out how to obtain some. Thus far I’ve mostly been eating crackers and, if I’m feeling especially hungry, crackers with peanut butter. Soup sounds heavenly at this moment…

I have a cold too!

(I also think that’s a great idea for the polls)

I would cheer for finding a fellow cold-buddy, but I wouldn’t wish an illness on anyone. 😉 I hope you start to feel better soon, and I’m glad you like the poll idea!

Sick Panda Strikes Back!

I think by now, you all know I’m not a normal person. In fact, I’m pretty weird. AND THAT’S WHY I HAVE A COLD IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER. As a kid I thought it was impossible to get colds in any other season besides fall/winter. As an adult, I seem to get colds exclusively in the summer. But enough of that. Cue the panda!

No one knows how sick panda got stuck like that–not even sick panda.

As you can probably guess by my rambling introduction, I have come down with a cold which has knocked me flat on my rear–as illustrated by the panda above. (For those of you how have been fortunate enough not to witness me when I am ill before, when sick/tired/whatever I like to use pandas to express myself, mostly because when I am sick I am incredibly, inexplicably stupid, and pandas are perhaps the only creatures who are cute enough to cover for their derpy-ness, which makes me like to think that I too can skid by on my dead-brain if I play my cards right.)

However, I am not letting this time go to waste! I’m getting everything organized for the Secondary Character poll, which will begin in July. Because there are so many secondary characters I’m going to hold a “bracket” where you’ll get to vote for your top three or four characters per bracket and the winning characters will move on to a final round where the favorites will be picked!

But Kitty, you might be thinking, if you are organizing this while sick, there’s probably a good chance you are going to miss some characters! Very astute of you, Champions, but, buwahah–I have thought of that! The last “heat” I’ll hold before the final vote off will be for “forgotten favorites” in case I do miss a few popular characters.

…and yep. That’s pretty much all I have to say that’s even remotely intelligent right now. Have a great week, Champions, and thanks for reading!
