I love the coloring pages! They’re fun and cute and go with each book well. I wonder if more will eventually become available, especially with Hazel and Leila and some of their additional characters.

Love these prizes!! My daughters and I are really enjoying them. Also love the map of the timeless fairytale world. I lamenated one and use it as a bookmark. Would also buy T-shirts if you ever started doing that.

They’re pretty cool colouring-in pages. However, did you realise that it takes you to them, not only if you answer correctly, but also if you answer INCORRECTLY? I experiemented and said that Angelique rode a war elephant. I still got the prize. *hmmmm*

Kitty, thanks so much for these cool colouring-in pages.

This was a totally amazing prize, and the drawings are really cool! I would love to get pages like these for your other books ( especially H of B and M, CofMand D and King Arthur and her Knights!)

I read some of the reviews too and one of them said that Angelique was whining about not using her core magic. I think that Angelique should feel free to use her core magic when she’s ready and not before.

Agreed. In my opinion, this is a great example of balance. She will always have to decide when and when not to use it factoring in the effects, her price, and the danger of the situation. And facing fears always takes time. I am going to echo what many champions have said and say that it is realistic and normal for people to need to have time to heal and learn before diving into it.

You know, it is far to get frustrated with something that takes longer than you want. I mean who doesn’t? But what isn’t right is the constant need to tell the author who is writing the book that she is writing too slow and not in the direction you want. Sometimes I wonder if we are actually, those who read the books, reading to leave a comment about how much we hated it or of we are reading to really get into it and ultimately love it. I get there is some stuff people who want, again normal, but what about loving the story for what it is and all that it is? These books are amazing and there is no way they should be getting the type of heat they do JUST because they come out slower. They come out don’t they?! If so, then that is all that matters!! Let’s all be happy and join together to encourage and keep Kitty motivated in this mentally, physically, and emotionally taxing process!!

Totally agree! And, to look on the bright side, since the Angelique, Elves of Lessa, and Retha books take more time and come out slower it give me an excuse to reread the series so I can look for more clues that might be more apparent after the latest book of the series was released. And since I enjoy these books, so much the better. I’ll take any excuse I can to reread these books. 😁

I wish there was a way to leave comments under Amazon reviews! I’m sorry some of those reviews are not nice. I hopped over and read some and wanted to wring some necks! My opinion on reviews is if you don’t like it stop reading it. Sometimes it’s nice to have a constructive why so I know it won’t work for me either but reviews that just bash authors for not writing exactly what they want and as fast as they want? If you don’t like it go read something else! Leave the authors alone! Sorry for my rant. I’ll be updating all my reviews. Keep up the good work. Yes, we are counting down the minutes here but we would also understand if we had to wait until NEXT summer.
Oh and the pages were beautiful.

Totally agree! Last time I checked, patience is still considered a virtue and I have to say that I think Kitty marvelously rewards our patience with excellent stories. I mean, I would rather have a great book later than have a “meh” book now. It’s totally worth the wait!

It’s so annoying when people leave unfair reviews just because everything isn’t out just yet. I mean, the author has their own life and problems to worry about-they can’t write 24/7 all the time, they need breaks too! (╬▔皿▔)╯

Well, and ANY author is going to take a reasonable amount of time to finish a series! It isn’t like anyone expects them to write the whole thing and then release it–that’s not the norm even in traditional publishing! You only get to complain if it’s been a really long time with no new installments or if the series is declared “not going to be finished” 😉

I love the Fairytail Enchantress series, but I also get a little frustrated of the wait between books. I love your books, clean, funny and touching at times. The Angelique series is my alltime favorite.

I would love more coloring pages!! All of my sisters LOVE coloring them and they are so pretty!!!

Also, I’m so excited for Trial of Magic!!! But don’t wear yourself out, Kitty! We can wait if going too quickly compromises your health!

my favorite would have 2 be . . . the RoM one. I just really like pegasus, and I think we all need a companion like that 🙃

Love the coloring pages! I printed them out on watercolor paper so I can use a mix medium on them. It’s a toss up for me which page is a favorite. I guess I’ll choose when I have them all colored. 😉

Oh, that’s a good idea! Saving that one away for a day when we need an art project around here. Do you find water color paper goes through a standard printer no problem?

Amy

I trimmed it to size and it went through just fine. I did take out all the other paper in my printer and did just one page at a time.

I’m rereading all the TFT books. I’m reading them in published order rather than timeline order. I’m almost done with Sleeping Beauty, but I’ve already read Apprentice of Magic and Curse of Magic. Once I’m done with the Frog Prince I’ll read Reign of Magic, then The Twelve Dancing Princesses and Snow White. I want the last two to be the most recent thing I’ve read when Trial of Magic comes out. I have no doubt that I’ll have all of them read by the time Trial of Magic is released. Just looking forward to it… a lot!

As for the coloring pages, I keep telling myself I’ll try coloring them, but then I spend my time reading instead. Maybe when I’m done reading all the books and if there is still time before Trial of Magic comes out I’ll take some time to color them. I do love the drawings. I just haven’t had a chance to color them yet.

Reading Challenge Prizes

The reading challenge has been running for nearly two weeks, now! How are you doing? I know from the quiz results that a lot of Champions have slammed through the quizzes and already received their prizes for all five books–themed coloring pages! I hoped you liked them!

2021 KM Shea Reading Challenge

I was a little nervous about giving you Champions coloring pages as your prizes. Typically for something like this I’d like to write a free short story, but with Trial of Magic being so grueling to write, there was no way I could do it. I talked it over with the Discord Mod Squad and my team, and we thought really long about what you Champions might like to see before coming up with the coloring pages.

The artist behind the pages is Olena Shkavron–Click here to see see her Instagram! She did a fantastic job in bringing life my creations–she even used a picture of the real life inspiration for Puss (My parent’s cat, his name is Chewie) as a base for the Curse of Magic page!

Over all, I really enjoyed getting the coloring pages made. It’s another way to bring more bookish fun to you Champions in a different kind of way, but now I want to know…

What do you think, Champions?

  1. Was there one page that was more fun to color in than the others? (If so, why?)

  2. Are you interested in getting coloring book pages for other KM Shea/AM Sohma series as well?

  3. Did you share your pages on the Discord server or Facebook group?

I hope you’ve been enjoying the Reading Challenge, Champion! Thank you for joining in this community fun! (And if you get the chance, could you leave an HONEST series review for Fairy Tale Enchantress on its series page? There have been readers who are frustrated the series isn’t finished, so it has a pretty poor rating, ahahah.)
