Offering some of my books for free for the month of December is one of my favorite yearly traditions but this year it's going to look a little different than normal (in a good way!). Because of that I am announcing the official schedule so you can make sure you don't miss out.

Here's the quick December schedule:

  • December 3rd - 7th: Princess Ahira ebook free on Amazon

  • December 17th - 21st: Goose Girl ebook free on Amazon

  • December 23rd - Life Reader ebook free on my website*

  • All month long - Princess & the Pea free and more great stories by other clean fantasy authors

*Life Reader was previously for sale on Amazon but was taken down years ago due to too many error reports. It hasn't been edited, and it won't be edited in the future but I know many of you missed out on reading it or would love to read it again so I'm making it free for any of my Champions who would like to read it. If you want to read it early click here to signup for my Author Newsletter as I will be early releasing it to them on December 4th.

I hope you're excited for this different schedule of events! You can also check out my social media each week in December for special themed content and trivia games specific to the featured book each week.

And if you want an email reminder each week to go and get the free books then once again you should signup for my author newsletter and go into your profile settings (there is a link at the bottom of every email I send that allows you to do this) and signup for my Free Book Announcements.

Happy Halloween, Champions! 🍭🍬🍫

It is time for one of my favorite yearly traditions in the K. M. Shea community! The complete Robyn Hood series (which is two ebooks) are free for you to download right now!

The sale is available from today, through October 30th, so make sure to pick these up NOW if you need to add them to your digital library!

(Normally this sale includes the day of Halloween, but due to some technical stuff behind the scenes we had to schedule it earlier this year. This just means you can't procrastinate this year and you should get it right now!)

These books retell the tale of Robin Hood, but if the famed archer was actually a girl called Robyn Hood. Unlike the King Arthur and Her Knights series, there is no time traveling, but the two series have a similar feel, so if you've read the King Arthur series and liked it you should definitely grab these two books while they are free!

I affectionately call this a Trick or Treat situation because the Robyn Hood books are the second and third books I ever wrote, and even though in 2022 they got an edit to fix them up, the story telling isn’t as sharp as my newer books. But despite my greener abilities at the time, Champions have assured me they still love them for my trademark humor and strong female characters, so if you haven’t gotten them yet, now is your chance to try them for free!

If you already have these books, go ahead and send this sale to a friend who you think would enjoy them. ❤️

Have a Happy Halloween, Champions! Enjoy the free books, and thank you for reading!

I have a very special free book to share with you today! Now though October 14th you can get The King's Captive for free on Amazon!

I love offering free books so I can entice new readers but also as a gift to my loyal Champions who have stuck with me through my hiatus (thank you to all of you!). I hope you can also use the free books as an excuse to lure in your friends and family who you've been trying to brainwash, cough I mean convince to try the Magiford books!

And don't forget that The King's Captive is also eligible for Whispersync if you live in the USA so if you have an audiobook-only person in your life tell them to grab this free ebook so they can get the audiobook for a super discounted deal as well. (The narrators are fantastic for this series and it's well worth a listen, especially for the first book!) 🐈‍⬛ Here's the description from book 1 if you want a little more info about the series: I can turn into a housecat. It’s a fun magic, except in a world filled with vampires and werewolves, it doesn’t exactly make me a powerhouse. Instead, the supernatural community has classified me as an outcast, which means one thing: Picking on me is open season all day, every day. The local fae are the worst of all, and it’s during one of their regular “capture the cat-girl” sessions that I shift into my cat form and meet HIM for the first time. Noctus is so powerful his magic radiates off him like a sun, and my fae captors can barely look in his general direction. And then my life gets even more terrifying when Noctus decides to take me with him. As a pet. Why did he pick today to “adopt don’t shop” a cat? It gets worse when I realize he’s an elf, a ruling race of supernaturals that was supposedly killed off centuries ago. But he’s not just any elf, no. He’s an elven king, with heaps of secrets to protect. Secrets that I am quickly learning since he includes his new pet in everything from breaking into buildings to inspect classified paperwork to tracking down sketchy supernaturals. All this means if he gets even a hint that I’m not a real cat, I’m going to find out firsthand how elves treat their prisoners. So, escaping Noctus is priority # 1. How hard can it be? (Answer: very.)
