Merry Christmas Champions! One of the first books I ever published on Amazon was called Life Reader but over the years the book had collected too many reader submitted typo reports so Amazon removed it from their store.

I had originally planned to edit it and publish it again but due to my ongoing health issues I've had to change my plans for future projects and I ultimately decided I will not be editing Life Reader or writing any more books in that world (it is a standalone but I had previously mentioned wanting to write more). Since I won't be editing it that means it won't ever be on Amazon again.

However, it's not all sad news!

I've decided to offer Life Reader for free as a special “thank you” to all my loyal readers who’ve stuck with me all these years. It is available to download from Bookfunnel just like Princess and the Pea, my free novella.

Yes, the book has a lot of errors.

No, I will not be fixing them.

If finding errors in a book bothers you please do not try to read Life Reader.

(This is not me trying to be "fake" modest, it definitely has a lot of errors.)

And to the many Champions who have offered to edit it for me, that is very kind of you to offer but as I already announced it will not be edited.

This book has been a longtime favorite among Champions so I'm very happy I can make it available for everyone to enjoy once again. I hope you enjoy this magical YA Fantasy story!

This version of the book has prettier formatting but other than that it is the exact same as the version that was previously live on Amazon. So if you purchased it back when it was available it is up to you if you want to download this free version or not.

Offering some of my books for free for the month of December is one of my favorite yearly traditions but this year it's going to look a little different than normal (in a good way!). Because of that I am announcing the official schedule so you can make sure you don't miss out.

Here's the quick December schedule:

  • December 3rd - 7th: Princess Ahira ebook free on Amazon

  • December 17th - 21st: Goose Girl ebook free on Amazon

  • December 23rd - Life Reader ebook free on my website*

  • All month long - Princess & the Pea free and more great stories by other clean fantasy authors

*Life Reader was previously for sale on Amazon but was taken down years ago due to too many error reports. It hasn't been edited, and it won't be edited in the future but I know many of you missed out on reading it or would love to read it again so I'm making it free for any of my Champions who would like to read it. If you want to read it early click here to signup for my Author Newsletter as I will be early releasing it to them on December 4th.

I hope you're excited for this different schedule of events! You can also check out my social media each week in December for special themed content and trivia games specific to the featured book each week.

And if you want an email reminder each week to go and get the free books then once again you should signup for my author newsletter and go into your profile settings (there is a link at the bottom of every email I send that allows you to do this) and signup for my Free Book Announcements.

Today is a celebration because Life Reader earned 4 out 5 stars from Star, blogger of the Bibliophilic Book Blog! Huzzah! Reviews by people who enjoy reading my books always make me purr.

In other good news I’ve gone back to writing Enchanted, book two of King Arthur and Her Knights. Enchanted seems much more determined to be written than Enthroned was, which sounds a little weird. What I mean is that this book is coming together very easily and everything (and everyone) is co-operating. Right now I’m sitting close to 10,000 words, which means I’m almost a third through writing it. That doesn’t sound very impressive, but I had to take a week off to fix Ahira and another week off to edit Enthroned.

That is all for today, it is a super short post but I will make up for it on Friday. I’m planning to post some writing tips for all of you aspiring authors. Thank you for reading, Champions, and enjoy the rest of your week!
