Fantastic news, Champions! The Sheacon Planners have an official panel schedule to share with you for Sheacon 2021–which, reminder–will be from August 6th to August 8th. I’ve been looking forward to this event, particularly since Trial of Magic will release the week before (July 30th) because we’re going to have so much to talk about! But, onto the schedule!

Open ceremonies begin Friday the 6th at 6 pm central time.

We’re kicking off our first panel with a slew of fantasy authors: Deborah Grace White, Tara Grayce, Sarah K L Wilson, Kimberly A Rogers, and Julie Hall This fantasy panel will begin at 7 PM central time!

For our internationals–or for those of you who love staying up late–I’ll be interviewing W. R. Gingell–an urban fantasy and fairy tale author who wrote one of my all time favorite series, City Between. This WR Gingell Fangirl panel interview starts at 11 pm central.

Saturday, the 7th, we’ve got a panel with yours truly starting at 11 am central.

In the afternoon at 4 PM central time, there is a fairy tale panel with some of your favorite fairy tale retelling authors: Camille Peters, AG Marshall, Allison Tebo, S. R. Nulton, and JM Stengl!

Saturday evening at 7 PM we’ve got Celebrity, Retha themed D&D where our favorite GM Zooknar will be guiding myself, AG Marshall, Vin, and RayJay through a Retha themed D&D Campaign!

On the last day of Sheacon–Sunday the 8th–I’ll be holding a panel at 12 pm central.

There will be an art panel at 3 pm central where Myrrhlynn–the artist of those quote graphics and all the promo image graphics you see everywhere–and RayJay–the artist of all the quiz graphics and Retha guild emblems–will be residing!

Champion Trivia–a popular favorite from last year that is returning again–will be held at 7 pm central with me guessing the meaning of commonly used nicknames, etc used by the Champions.

Finally, Closing Ceremonies will be held at 8 pm central.

In addition to the panels, there will be other fun games and events like D&D, Drawing with a Twist, Riddles, etc. Some of the fun will be scheduled, some will be open all hours. Moreover, there’s also going to be a giant list of goodies for you to grab, so make sure you check out that channel when Sheacon starts!

To join Sheacon you’ll need to have a discord account! When Sheacon opens, the Planners will post a link to the server in the Sheacon 2021 channel of our KM Shea community server–here is an invite to that server if you haven’t joined yet. I’d advise that you join now so you’re ready for the big day, and so you can ask fellow Discord Champions for any help, should you need it.

I’ve got delightful news, Champions! Sheacon 2021 is coming from August 6th – August 8th!

All weekend long we’ll have panels, games, and goodies to share! The valiant Sheacon planners have been hard at work, and they’ve got some great fun planned!

There will be more details in the future about what kind of guests you’ll see–or even what kind of panels I’m going to speak on–coming in the future. But, important!!

Sheacon is a Discord-based event! That means you have to be a discord member so you can join us! On the actual weekend of the event the Sheacon Planners will post a link on our community discord to the special servers they’ll have set up for all the panels, games, and more. To be ready, you’ll want to sign up for the community Discord server. (You can join us by clicking here, or going to the Fan Discussion page for more information.)

can confirm that there’s going to be an FAQ panel again this year, in fact the planners have a survey for you to fill out so you can ask any questions you like! (Click here to fill out the survey!) I might not be able to answer your questions about specific events/characters depending how spoiler-y they are, but you can submit them, or any other wacky question you’d like to hear me answer! (Like what’s my favorite beverage–tea or coffee? Or maybe ask what scares me most in my fridge–spoiler: it’s my sourdough starter, Bob. He makes me anxious when he foams.)

In conclusion, mark your calendars, Champions–we’re going to have so much fun!

Surprise! Before I begin my new blog series, I wanted to slide this post in and announce that due to the extraordinary efforts of the SheaCon planning Committee, we have the audio from all the SheaCon panels!

Opening Ceremonies: Hosts Dino and Xoffy opened SheaCon with a bang…and perhaps an unexpected (rigged) pageant!?

Entwined Tales Author Panel: Brittany Fichter, Shari L Tapscott, Melanie Cellier, and Kenley Davidson joined me for a chat about our books, our friendship, and our writing processes! (Aya Ling, who is also in Entwined Tales, was sadly unable to join us due to the massive time difference.)

W. R. Gingell Panel: Author W. R. Gingell (who happens to be the author of the City Between series, one of my favorite Urban fantasy series!) talked about her books, writing, and her life as an author!

Kitty Q & A: Last month you all were given the chance to submit questions for this Q&A panel. The Planning Committee organized them, and then hosts Xoffy and Cindy pitched them to me. If there’s any secret info you wanted to know about my books, this is your panel!

K. M. Shea Writing Panel: I give a rather “um” filled talk (sorry!) about how my interests have impacted my writing voice, how I get inspiration, and I answer reader questions about my writing!

Champion Trivia: I embarrassed myself to the delight of all the Champions present as I tried to guess the abbreviations and codes the discord Champions have adopted while talking about my books.

Again, a huge thanks to the diligence and hard work of the SheaCon planning committee–you guys are amazing! I hope you enjoy this “taste” of the Con if you were unable to come, Champions, and thanks for reading!
