I love celebrating many holidays and I've written many holiday related bonus short stories - you can find all of them on the short stories page. But I've never written a Christmas Short story... until now! (Okay, okay I actually wrote this almost a year ago but it was after Christmas when I finished it so I sat on it until now!)

In the Pack of Dawn and Destiny series you saw how the town of Timber Ridge embraced tourism and now you can see how they go full Christmas marketing crazy for the tourists while also catching up with the gang. This story takes place after the end of the series so it has spoilers - be warned!

The only thing better then one free books is a stack of free books!

My fellow fairy tale author pal, Gabrielle Landi, has organized and reviewed a group of authors to offer you free clean fantasy books for the month of December!

Are you in the mood for a Cinderella retelling? Or maybe you'd prefer an Epic Fantasy story? My addition to the free books list is my prequel novella, Princess and the Pea, but if you've already read it there are lots of other fun choices to pick from!

It's December, which means I can officially start the Christmas themed blog posts! And what better way to kick off the season but with a free book?!? Between now and December 8th you can get Princess Ahira for free on Amazon, so share the news with anyone you think would enjoy this dragon + princess story!

Since Princess Ahira is a standalone and not part of a series it doesn't get a ton of attention. If you've never read it before it is similar to my Timeless Fairy Tales series with the twisted fairy tales that are combined with Patricia Wrede's Dealing with Dragons book! (Which you should also read!)

Plus there's more! In honor of Ahira, you can check social media for a fun Princess Ahira themed game this Saturday!

Ahira isn’t a typical princess. When she’s kidnapped by dragons on her sixteenth birthday she declares it the best thing that has ever happened to her.

No more etiquette lessons!

Assigned to a powerful but extremely messy dragon named Azmaveth, Ahira soon makes friends with the magical creatures around her new home. Even cleaning up after Azmaveth and putting up with with his failed magic experiments isn’t too bad, until he forces her to work with his human steward, Kohath.

Kohath is a piece of work. His bossy attitude combined with his lack of personal space makes him the most infuriating male Ahira has ever met. He’s also hiding a huge secret.

But war is looming with the Valkyrie, and not even the dragons are immune to political maneuvering. A surprise betrayal breaks Ahira’s heart and sends her packing back to her old home. If she does nothing she’ll never see Azmaveth, Kohath, or the rest of her magical friends again. Happily ever afters don’t come easy, but this princess just might be willing to fight for hers.
